Legislator Elects To Hold Bill Which Would Place 15% Tax On Short Term Rentals

This week, Senator Monique Limon announced that she will not move Senate Bill 584 forward this year following a mixed response from the business and labor industries. The measure was backed by the California Building and Trades Council, but opposed by CalTravel. The measure will be eligible for hearing next year and may continue to move at that time.
